NAWBO® Installs Jacqueline Hayes to 2022-2023 National Board of Directors
Jacqueline joins the National board to grow her efforts to support women business owners nationwide
Washington, D.C. (June 15, 2022), The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) installed Jacqueline Hayes of Nashville to the 2022-2023 Board of Directors. The NAWBO National Board is a group of women from across America who support NAWBO’s mission to empower women entrepreneurs, regardless of race, religion, age, sexual orientation, national origin, or disability. To help women reach spheres of power and grow their businesses, the organization continues to survey its membership to provide a clear understanding of the economic landscape for women business owners to Congress.
“There has never been a more critical time for women business owners to lift up, show up, and speak up on behalf of women business owners across the country,” said Karen Bennetts, NAWBO National Board Chair. “I am proud to lead this amazing organization, and we will be successful with Jacqueline Hayes as part of the NAWBO Board of Directors.”
Jacqueline is Principal and Chief Marketing Strategist of Crayons & Marketers headquartered in Nashville, TN. Before starting Crayons & Marketers, she was the Marketing Manager for Harpeth Marketing where she led the firm’s content marketing division supporting market research firms across the country. Jacqueline is a member of several organizations outside of NAWBO including the Nashville American Marketing Association (NAMA), in which she is the incoming Vice President of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Metro Nashville Chapter where she serves as Recording Secretary, and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, Kappa Lambda Omega Chapter. Jacqueline is an alumna of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Program and certified as a Digital Marketing Professional through the Digital Marketing Institute and Professional Certified Marketer® through the American Marketing Association.
“I began my NAWBO journey as a member of the Nashville chapter of NAWBO, later served as president, and I am eager to expand my service to the NAWBO National Board for a second term,” said Jacqueline, NAWBO National Board Member. “These past couple of years highlighted the significance of being an advocate in your community. NAWBO has been a leader in outreach to policymakers on behalf of women business owners on the local, state, and national levels. Our combined efforts were why women were at the forefront of the recovery policies. We continue to ask for bipartisan solutions, and we continue to see results. I look forward to continuing our efforts.”
The 2022-2023 NAWBO Board of Directors includes Karen Bennetts , Chair; Cristina Morales Heaney , Past Chair; Lisa Coppola , Chair-Elect, Jacqueline Hayes , Treasurer, Thresette Briggs — Secretary, Lesa Seibert, Megan Patton, Janis Shinkawa, and Ellen R. Linares , Chair of the Presidents Assembly Steering Committee.
The National Association of Women Business Owners Board of Directors was installed on June 6, 2022, before starting their Advocacy Days on June 7 and 8, 2022, in Washington, D.C.
